LFF continue strengthen Club Licensing with AFC guidance


(Vientiane, 3 March 2018) AFC Club Licensing Workshop, Assessment and Compliance Audit concluded with strong attention among Pepsi Lao Premier League 2018 clubs from 1-2 March 2018, at Lao Football Federation Head Office. Mr. Mahajan Vasudenan Nair, Head of AFC Club Licensing Unit presented the benefit of club licensing system to the leadership of Lao Football Federation as well as its affiliated clubs. AFC Cup Club Licensing criteria comprises of minimum 18 A criteria covering sporting, infrastructure, personnel and administrative, legal and financial matters.

Clubs would be eligible to participate in the AFC Club Competition next year, only if they are granted a license by LFF Decision Making Bodies namely First Instance Body and Appeal Body.

During the workshop clubs were able to experience using Club Licensing Administration System (CLAS), a user-friendly online platform where all of them will submit required documents into and each criteria has submission deadline.

LFF has encouraged all 8 Pepsi Lao Premier League clubs to implement this licensing system and upload all required and valid document regarding 18 A criteria for AFC Cup Club Licensing Regulation in order to be eligible to participate in the AFC Cup 2019 should the club(s) finish the season as league winners and runner-ups in this year competition. In an event of the league winners and runner-ups were rejected licenses, the slots will fall into the 3rd and 4th place’s hands.
